Over at MMM, this week's challenge is set by my blog buddy Deb - it's Autumn Colours, which I think is one of my favourite colour schemes. I made this a little while ago but never blogged it and it fits so here it is! The verse is pretty much unreadable (love this font, though) but it's part of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, a poem my Mum loved, and she was always reciting bits to me....
Awake! for Morning in the Bowl of Night
Has flung the Stone that puts the Stars to Flight:
And Lo! the Hunter of the East has caught
The Sultán's Turret in a Noose of Light.
Dreaming when Dawn's Left Hand was in the Sky
I heard a Voice within the Tavern cry,
" Awake, my Little ones, and fill the Cup"
Before Life's Liquor in its Cup be dry."
fab collage!!
